The Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron
Slightly cheaper than the original.
Want a Bugatti Chiron but don’t have £2.5m handy? Don’t worry, there’s still hope… it turns out you can build your own for £330!
Only, it’s made out of Lego, and it’s a 1:8 scale model at 22” long, 9” wide, and 5” high.
But hey, so what if it’s small? Don’t let things like that get you down. Remember, it’s all about ‘the motion in the ocean’… of which, it turns out, there’s plenty!
Specifically, a movable paddle shifted eight-speed transmission, a W16 engine with moving pistons, and a steering wheel that moves the front wheels.
It even boasts aerodynamic bodywork, detailed brake discs, a pop-up spoiler, and the classic Bugatti duo-tone blue colour scheme.
Building it shouldn’t take too long, as it only consists of… 3,599 pieces.
And performance figures?
While the original delivers 1,500 bhp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels, enabling a top speed of 261 mph, the Lego Technic version… well, it depends on how fast you throw it.
One thing is for sure, it’s an incredible feat of engineering.
